GENERAL INFORMATION

Featured in 25 Beautiful Homes Magazine, this family-run guest house offers great charm and character. Newly refurbished, it retains many of its original Victorian features yet affords the luxuries of 21st century living. A place of comfort and tranquillity, it is situated in a cul-de-sac, only minutes away from the historic Minster and ancient city walls. With private car parking, it is ideally placed for you to enjoy a relaxing stay in one of Europe's most beautiful and historic cities. Each of the 8 luxurious bedrooms is individually designed and decorated. Four poster beds are a feature in most of the rooms, all of which are en suite, some having soothing jacuzzi baths and exhilarating power showers.

AREA INFORMATION

York offers the visitor a wealth of heritage, culture and entertainment. The city centre has a vast array of restaurants and shops, many of them unique to York. They sit alongside York's magnificent historical buildings: the Minster; Medieval guildhalls; and Georgian town houses. In addition to this, there are ancient pubs, traditional outdoor markets and world-class museums. Tour the city on foot, by horse-drawn carriage, open-top bus or a flood-lit river cruise.

TRAVEL INFORMATION

By Car: - Approach York via the north-west side of the ring road. - Join the A19 towards the town centre (also known as Shipton Road). - After 2 miles, this route leads into Clifton and then into Bootham; St Peters Grove is on the left before the footbridge opposite St Peters school. By Train: From the railway station: - Turn left out of the station towards the Minster. - Cross the river via Lendal Bridge. - At the first set of traffic lights, turn left onto Exhibition Square. - Take the next left at the lights onto Bootham. - St Peters Grove is about 800 yards further along on the right.
