Heworth Court - York

Just 10-15 minutes’ walk from York Minster and situated on the route of the park-and-ride shuttle bus into York, Heworth Court offers charming en suite rooms and free on-site parking. Heworth Court comes highly recommended, with most customers being return or recommended guests. It was awarded 4 stars in the category of 'Guest Accommodation' by VisitBritain in April 2008. Open all day, the hotel’s Minster Bells Bar has a selection of over 30 malt whiskies, as well as beers and soft drinks. There is private, free car parking, complete with CCTV, at the main hotel and at Sutherland House, the Georgian annexe situated 2 doors away.

By car: Drive around the York Outer Ring Road (York Bypass a64 or a1237) until you reach the double roundabout on the east side of York (Scarborough side). Exit into York on the a1036 (avoid the a1036 West) - the hotel is on the left-hand side, just before the pedestrianised central York shopping area.

The Lamplight Restaurant serves a full English breakfast every day between 07:30 and 09:30. From Friday 13 March 2009, the restaurant is also open for evening meals from Tuesday to Saturday, from 18:00 until 20:30, with last orders taken at 20:00. Advance bookings are welcome. Please note that the restaurant is not open on Sunday or Monday evenings.
