GENERAL INFORMATION

Tucked away in the heart of historic St James's Place, in a peaceful, traffic-free location, this elegant hotel boasts an unsurpassed London setting, surrounded by the royal parks and palaces. Recently given a ‘Hotel of the Year’ award, The Stafford is just a few steps away from Bond Street, Jermyn Street and Piccadilly, and boasts the perfect base from which to enjoy shopping, dining and the theatre. And, in the evenings, you can follow the lane from the hotel directly into beautiful Green Park for a relaxing stroll. Full of English charm and character, the main house of the hotel comprises three 17th century townhouses. In 2007, 26 new suites were added in The Stafford Mews. Perfect for families, these stunning suites enjoy a beautiful courtyard setting.

HOTEL INFORMATION

With 4 private rooms and the unique Cellars, The Stafford is one of London's most exclusive fine dining experiences. Fully air-conditioned, each room incorporates late Victorian marble fireplaces, with original cornices and panelling, perfect for a private meeting, elegant cocktail reception or an intimate dinner, from 4 to 44 guests. The ultimate setting for a most memorable occasion. The Argyll and Pink Rooms: A suite of rooms, perfect for a business meeting followed by a luncheon or cocktail reception prior to a private dinner. Both rooms are air conditioned and have natural daylight; the Argyll also has a private bar within the room. Either room can be hired independently. The Panel and Sutherland Rooms: The warm mahogany of the Panel Room recreates the distinctive atmosphere of a gentleman's club, for which the St James's area is renowned. Ideal for small meetings and dinner parties, the Panel Room can also double as the anteroom to the larger Sutherland Room. The Sutherland Room has an elegant Victorian decor, complete with an original marble fireplace. Both rooms are air conditioned and, as interior rooms, offer complete privacy, although a trompe l'oeil feature in the Sutherland does offer a light and airy view. Lunch and dinner parties are a speciality, and The Stafford’s team of professionals will be on hand to help - from the initial enquiry through to the actual day. A fully-equipped gymnasium can be found in the Mews.

AREA INFORMATION

With a cul-de-sac and courtyard setting, The Stafford is arguably one of the quietest hotels in Central London.
