Of Victorian origin, the hotel is steeped in local theatrical history; many great names in show business have stayed at the Chine, while walking the boards one of Bournemouth's many theatres. The hotel has a charming wall of fame which illustrates some of those stars of days gone by. The Chine is experienced in hosting all types of training days and conferences. The 11 meeting rooms have a capacity of 20-150 delegates. All are equipped with everything that a conference or meeting organiser could wish for. Additional equipment, if required, can be hired.

The Seaview Restaurant is in one of the most charming rooms of the hotel, with stunning views out over the treetops to Poole Bay and towards the Isle of Wight. The menu has achieved an AA Red Rosette for food, and one meal in this delightful restaurant will illustrate to you why. The menu has been carefully composed by head chef and includes fresh fish, meat and vegetarian delicacies. You can enjoy the ambiance of the Seaview Restaurant for lunch and dinner - room service is, however, always available. Refurbishment Notice: In order to further improve its facilities, The Chine Hotel is currently undergoing renovation work to the exterior and ground floor public areas. This will also include the bar and restaurant area. This will be in effect from 27 September to 30 November 2008. Please note that some rooms are also affected by noise from functions, both at weekends and sometimes during other special occasions.
