On Sept 7th 1895 Lady Harriet Ponsonby and her maid plus Mrs General Faber and Mrs Morry were in residence. We have been established for a long time! When Lady Ponsonby came there would have been only an odd carriage here and there, now you can park here at the hotel, an easy walk to the town without parking problems. As you approach Bournemouth from the A338 turn left at Asda and the train station (signposted for town centre east). This will lead you to a roundabout where you can turn right (3rd exit) onto Holdenhurst Road. After approx. 250 metres you will come to the Lansdowne Roundabout, where you want to take the 2nd exit (between the Roundhouse and Bournemouth College). In the small roundabout ahead, please turn right in to Gervis Road. You will find the hotel on the right hand side.
