The Danescourt - Blackpool

Ideally situated just a short walk from Blackpool’s South Pier and the world famous Pleasure Beach, this small and friendly hotel offers comfortable accommodation in a fantastic central location. The Danescourt Hotel is a small to medium-sized hotel, owned and run by Lynn, Stuart and Andrew. Stuart and his wife Lynn have many years experience in the catering and leisure industry and Andrew is a qualified chef who has worked in many top hotels and restaurants. The hotel’s team prides themselves on running a clean and friendly establishment, where all guests can be assured of the warmest of welcomes. The hotel’s is a great location from which to experience all the fun and entertainment that this popular seaside resort has to offer. Its prime location, just off the promenade in the South Shore area of Blackpool, means that you are within walking distance of the Pleasure Beach, Sandcastle Water Park and casino.

Situated opposite the hotel, Blackpool’s South Pier was opened in 1893 and today houses an amusement complex with fairground rides. Just a short walk away from the hotel is the world famous Blackpool Pleasure Beach. This popular amusement park has a mixture of traditional wooden rides, modern steel roller-coasters, small family rides, highly-advanced thrill rides and generations-old rides still in original working order. Entrance to this popular attraction is free; you just pay for the rides that you go on. Also within walking distance from the hotel is Blackpool Pleasure Beach railway station, providing regular train connections to and from Blackpool and Preston.

By Car (from the M6): - Exit the M6at junction 32 and proceed onto the M55. - Stay on the M55 for about 14 miles and exit at junction 4 (A5230). - Stay on the dual carriageway following signs for South Shore and turn right at the T-junction. - Join the promenade and bear right at the 1st pier into Station Road and the hotel is located on the left hand side. Parking: To be guaranteed a parking space, we have recently negotiated parking with a secure lock up facility 150 yards from our hotel. You can make a reservation to park when booking (at an additional cost).

Meals are freshly prepared with a varied menu, with bar meals and snacks also served from 17:00. The Danescourt is able to cater for special dietary needs - please advise them of your requirements when making your reservation. For the added comfort of its guests, the hotel has a licenced family bar. Open every evening with a wide choice of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks. As well as TV and music, you can also play darts, dominoes and Nintendo Wii.

The hotel requires that all bookings are confirmed when a deposit (non-refundable) of GBP 20 per person has been paid, this deposit will be taken from your credit card. No single sex parties are accepted. The hotel is strictly non-smoking indoors. All credit and debit cards are subject to a surcharge of 3% by the hotel to cover bank charges. A minimum stay of 2 nights is required during public holiday weekends and also during the Illuminations.
