Blackpool ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt, um den Nordwesten Englands zu bereisen. Liverpool und Manchester sind nur eine Autostunde entfernt, nach Preston benötigen Sie eine halbe Stunde und in den reizvollen Lake District eineinhalb Stunden. Das Canasta verfügt über ein lizenzierte Bar, die von 11:00 bis 23:30 Uhr wochentags und bis Mitternacht an Wochenenden geöffnet ist. An starken Wochenenden, wenn es ausreichend Bedarf gibt, wird an Freitagen zwischen 21:00 und 0:00 Uhr (und fallweise an Samstagen) ein Karaokeabend veranstaltet. Das Rauchen ist in allen Hotelbereichen, inklusive der Zimmer, verboten.

Das Hotel liegt an der Nordpromenade, welche einen ruhigeren Bereich der Stadt darstellt, sich jedoch nahe genug am Nordpier, am Turm, bei Coral Island, den Winter Gardens und dem Sea Life Centre befindet. Die Straßenbahnen halten gleich außerhalb des Hotels und bringen Sie in 15 Minuten zum Pleasure Beach.

From the M55 motorway: - Continue for the Promenade (clearly signposted), past the Tower and North Pier (with the sea on your left). - We are 3/4 of a mile north of North Pier. From North Pier you'll pass the Metropole Hotel on your left, the Revills, Royal York, Tiffanys (big pink one) and Claremont hotels on your right. - You will then see the Best Western Carlton Hotel on the right. We are the white hotel next door on the far side. - Pull into the car park and give us a wave to help you with your bags. By Train: A taxi ride from the train station takes a few minutes and costs 3 GBP. Walking: - As you leave the platform turn right and exit the train station via the smaller exit by the parcels office. - This brings you onto Dickson Road. Turn right and walk about a mile until you come to the Carlton Hotel. We are next door to it. By coach: National Express Coach Services operate to and from Blackpool throughout the year. From Lonsdale Road Coach Park (South Shore): - Make your way to the promenade and catch a tram north. - Exit the tram at the Claremont Hotel. - Alternatively, a taxi should only cost about 5 GBP. Talbot Road Bus Station is next to the train station. Follow directions above. Blackpool Airport is about 6 miles away. A taxi will cost about 7 GBP.
