ÁLTALNOS INFORMÁCIÓK

St George's is a family-run bed and breakfast with 10 individually decorated en suite bedrooms. This Victorian house is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac across from York's racecourse. It is a 10 minute walk to the city walls but less to the start of York's many wonderful eating places. From here to get to the city center you can either walk round on the walls at Micklegate Bar towards the spectacular ancient Minster or under them where the shops start. Both ways take around a further 10 minutes, so it is 20 minutes walking from us to the middle of town. Our emphasis is on friendliness and cleanliness. We offer full English breakfast in the dining room or relax and take advantage of our breakfast in bed at no extra charge. If there is anything else you would like us to get in for your breakfast or for your stay please just ask us.

SZÁLLÁSINFORMÁCIÓ

Luggage can be stored for you. All rooms are non-smoking. We are flexible with early or late arrivals by prior arrangement.

KÖRNYÉK

St George's is located in a quiet cul-de-sac just off Tadcaster road (the A1036). Tadcaster road runs alongside York’s famous racecourse. Races take place a few days a month between May and October. Within a 10-minute walk, you can find a chemist, a local Sainsbury’s supermarket and a cash machine, along with the start of the pubs and restaurants. The centre of town is a 20-minute walk away and you can walk round on the city walls if you wish to enjoy the amazing views of the Minster. There is also a good bus service into the town centre or, alternatively, staff will be happy to order a taxi for you, if you would prefer. There is plenty to see and do in historic York and the surrounding area. The region has endless attractions, including the Castle Museum, Clifford Tower, the ancient city walls, the Minster and the National Railway Museum to name only a few. You could also take one of York’s award-winning ghost walks or enjoy a boat ride along the river. York has a wonderful selection of independent stores, unique shops and boutiques on streets like Stonegate and the Shambles. Some of the shops date back to the early part of the 15th century. If designer bargains are more your style, you could go to the designer outlet just 5 to 10 minutes’ drive outside York.
