Ian and Alan, the owners, offer unobtrusive help and assistance, as and when you need it; from a simple request for directions; to an interesting restaurant away from the tourist hordes; to helping you plan what to do while you are in Edinburgh. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building. Please note that Wi-Fi wireless broadband internet access is not guaranteed in the apartments, but guests may use the Kew House facility. There is also a computer available for guests use in the lounge.

Kew Terrace is a listed terrace (row house) on the main route to and from Edinburgh Airport but just 1.6 km (one mile) from Princes Street. This means that visiting the main attractions such as the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle is easy but we are also in an ideal location for the airport if you have an early flight. We are ideally located and within walking distance of Edinburgh Zoo, Edinburgh International Conference Centre, Murrayfield Rugby Stadium, Tynecastle Park, The National Gallery of Modern Art as well as the other main galleries. If walking is not your thing then there are around 20 buses per hour to take you on the 5 minute trip to Princes Street.

By Air: The hotel is approximately 6 miles (10 km) from Edinburgh Airport. Taxis are readily available from just outside the airport. Alternatively, the Airport Bus (number 100) stops at West Coates, right opposite Kew House. By Bus: The Kew Terrace bus stop is right outside Kew House. Buses run regularly between the bus stop and Princes Street in the heart of the city, including the number 12, the number 26 and the number 31 buses (operated by Lothian Buses) and the number 16 and the number 38 buses (operated by First Bus). By Train: Kew House is approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) from Edinburgh Waverley Railway Station. Taxis are readily available from just outside the station, or you can use any of the buses mentioned above and ask to get off at Kew Terrace. You can also leave the train at Edinburgh’s Haymarket Station and walk left, along Haymarket Terrace, for 10 minutes.
