These private, lockable single or twin rooms in shared self-catering apartments complete with bathrooms, a lounge and kitchen are located right in the heart of Edinburgh. Each year Euro Hostel leases apartments from the university while the students take their summer holiday.. Kincaid's Court is situated about 5 to 10 minutes’ walk from Waverly Station. Located on the Cowgate, it is just 1 block from the Royal Mile and within easy walking distance of Edinburgh Castle, The Palace of Holyroodhouse, Grassmarket and much more.

All bedrooms are either twin or single rooms. Ample shared bathroom facilities are available in each apartment. There is also a communal lounge and kitchen. The kitchen is kitted out with a sink, oven, fridge, freezer and microwave. Crockery, cutlery, bed linen and towels are supplied.

Located on Cowgate, we are one street away from the Royal Mile. Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, the Scottish parliament building, Mary Kings Close, Camera Obscurer, Museums and Art Galleries are all withing an easy walking distance of the hostel. And if it is shopping you are after, Princes Street is just a 10 minute walk away. The Edinburgh Sightseeing Bus Tour has stops nearby and tickets can be purchased from reception. A post office and late opening supermarkets are also nearby.

By Foot: The directions given are for what we consider to be the easiest walking route that avoids lots of steps and steep hills. A quicker route is listed below. From Waverley Station: Approximately 10-12 minutes walk. Take Market Street exit. Turn to your left under the bridge and head right up Jeffrey Street. Carry on and cross over the High Street (Royal Mile) onto St Mary's Street. Walk down the hill and turn right into Cowgate and continue along for about 200 metres. The reception is at Kindcaid's Court located on the left-hand side, corner of Guthrie Street and Cowgate. Alternatively from Waverly Station, you can take a right at the Market Street exit. Turn right up Cockburn Street, over the Royal Mile and down Blair Street to Cowgate. Turn right into Cowgate and the hostel entrance is on Guthrie Street, the first street on your left. From St. Andrew's bus station, head to Princes Street and then to North Bridge. Walk along North Bridge, across the Royal Mile and continue along South Bridge. Turn right into Chambers Street and then right again into Guthrie Street. The entrance to the hostel is located at the bottom of Guthrie Street on the left-hand side. Parking is available on-site. Please call ahead and our staff will be happy to book a place for you. Please be aware there is a charge for parking.

As all apartments are self catering, Euro Hostels Edinburgh Halls does not have an on-site restaurant or bar. However, our reception does sell a small range of snacks and drinks. There are many restaurants and bars in the area and our staff will be happy to recommend something to suit your palate and budget.

Please note that the hotel does not accept American Express or Diners Club cards. A key deposit of GBP 20 is required for each set of keys issued.
